Sightseeing
Gympie has a variety of great places to visit while conferencing at Gympie Conference Centre. The following are just a few:

The Gympie Woodworks Museum

The Woodworks museum is located next door to the Gympie Conference Centre. It has recently had a facelift and reopened to the public. Experience the history of the timber industry of this beautiful region.

The Gympie Gold Mining and Historical Museum

In 1867 the gold rush began in Gympie and today it has one of the greatest gold producing mines in Australia. Step back in time and absorb the history of Gympie not only the mining, also the life that our ancestors endured during early life in Gympie.

The Valley Rattler
Ride the Valley Rattler through the scenic Mary Valley.
The Rattler departs from the historic Gympie station and makes its way through the southern end of the city, it then negotiates the spectacular countryside of the Mary Valley and visits the historical stations of Dagun, Amamoor, Kandanga and Imbil.

Golf
Gympie Golf Course is as testing a course as any club golfer could wish to play. There are 18 holes winding through picturesque valleys. Demanding doglegs, testing par threes and a meandering creek all add up to a most enjoyable golfing challenge. For golfers, social members and visitors.

Talk with your conference coordinator and discuss how to incorporate activities, so you can make your next conference an event to remember.
